This was actually the first draft of Martin Luther King's speech.

It got better.

Not for him it didn't.

Not based remotely on ability or quality but I'm a bit pessimistic about this match. Having made a good start completely under the radar, it's our first game on TV this season, with no other games on that night, so everyone will be watching.

Moyes. Pienaar. Anichebe. Lamine Kone.

Just got one of those underwhelming Everton nights written all over it for me.

Yeah it's got positivity-killer written all over it.

And then two weeks later you'll be trying to talk footy/feeling positive about Koeman with a RS mate who will interrupt you with

"I dunno, I watched yous against Sunderland and you were proper average. Ross Barkley. Overrated."

And you'll be like - well yeah I dunno forget it.

I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

Pienaar hasn't played in quite a while so will not be fully fit. Will likely not start and if he does will come off after 50-60min.
Same for Vic.

There is a reason Moyes, Vic and Pienaar are no longer a part of Everton. It's because we better than what they can muster.

Haha. Gave me a proper little chuckle that. That's exactly how it works for us, and that's exactly how other teams perceive us from the odd time they watch a full 90 minutes of ours, when we've bottled it in front of a national audience.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

I can't see anything but a straight forward win for us here, Sunderland are a very poor aging side and Moyes is as clueless as ever.

Strange job to take this one for Moyes. I know he harped on, and on, and on, about the similarities with when he took over at Everton but surprises me why would he want to submit to another club where the chairman has told him there's very little money and it's a dead cert relegation battle looming. Maybe this is as good as it is going to get for him from here on in, having been burned at Utd and abroad.

Certain jobs seem to fit certain managers. As Moyes will always be a manager who battles through poor financed clubs, the likes of Mourinho will take on top jobs, and the likes of Allardyce will take on struggling teams that will only do enough to stay afloat.

Koeman says Coleman is fit to start, so could be a break on the cards for Holgate. Shame as he's been outstanding in the early games, but will be good to see Seamus back :)

I'm glad we're playing on Monday. I've caught a grand total of 45 minutes of our season so far due to working every Saturday  :headbang:
