Can't say this performance hasn't been coming.

I think the only chink in their armour so far has been in defending set pieces. It might be worth bringing on Mori for those alone. Definitely would bring Deulofeu on too. Could take your pick as to who he'd replace.

As poor as that's been, we could still very conceivably win this. They will give chances up, and are dodgy at set pieces. Reorganise, tighten up, use the ball much better and the game's still there for the taking.

Barkley isn't a number 10

Very strange the number of players who've been having a good season that have been pathetic today.

I'd expect we'll be better second half, but that first 25 minutes was embarrassing.

I wonder if that was Gueye at Villa. Running around trying to do the work of 3 and getting nowhere near anyone

They've all been shit so why single Barkley out?

Agree with @Bluedylan with Bolasie, yes he has been awful with the ball and his decisions terrible. But he is making sure he is involved, he is annoying people because people are getting to see him do things wrong as he is looking for the ball and trying to do something. Mirallas as he often can be has been invisible, drifting through the game not looking to do anything. That for me is worse than making poor decisions or getting what you are trying to do wrong.

Koeman can instruct Bolasie to do different things, tell him to play with same hunger to get on the ball but do something simpler, or look for a pass etc. Its much harder to get someone playing with fire when they lack that consistent mindset like Mirallas does.

Cos that makes you look more knowledgeable. See, I told you he was shit, but you wouldn't listen, you never do.
I didn't even remember I had a signature.

The most likely change will be Barry for Cleverley. After struggling like that all half he's not going to use his first sub up on bringing Deulofue on yet while Barry's so obviously hampered.
There are only two things I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures... and the Dutch.

Not really being singled out as plenty others are getting criticised but he has been poor 4 games in a row.

Should be moved centrally. Drop Barkley deeper. Bolasie to the left. Gerry on the right.
