According to this BBC article Mike Dean lives in North Wales and supports Tranmere.

Surely this is a case of bringing the game into disrepute?

If he had been refereeing both teams for years then it'd be fine but it's been a decade since he took charge of a match featuring either side, let alone both.

Lump your money on James Milner scoring a pen!

I think we will sacrifice Valencia and bring Barry back in. Something like

Coleman Williams Mori Baines

       McCarthy Barry Gana

       Lennon Lukaku Barkley

We need to work our arses off, not let them play and defo defo defo no arsing around with the ball at the back

We won't stop them scoring but hopefully we will score more than them
You think Lou Bega knocked it out of the park with Mambo number 1?!No but he kept at it!

At least if as many people as possible are aware about this by Monday it could lead to angry goodison from the off, and actually be a good thing?

I'd be concerned about bringing Barry back. Not the game for him in my opinion. Too many fast players zipping around. He'd probably be on a yellow after 5 minutes and off by half time.

Don't mind a couple of changes though.

I'd go with the same lineup (with Mori in for Jags), the team were great against Arsenal, no reason to change it.

I wouldn't change the team from the other night. obviously Jags will be replaced by Mori.

The aggression shown after 20 minutes or so is what we have been missing for a while, if we can start like that against Liverpool then it should be an entertaining game, providing the referee doesn't try to take the sting out of it.

we will be pressed like hell by their attackers so it's important that we have 2 deep midfielders that can help the defenders with that, McCarthy and Gueye should be able to take that up, I would probably prefer to have McCarthy and Gueye than Barry and Gueye.

It sounds obvious but not losing the ball in midfield is going to be key to this game, we have lost the ball in that area far too often recently, even the other night it was losing the ball there that led to them being able to get a free kick and score from it.

Two things will happen :-

The ref will bottle it and send one of our players off early

They will get a penalty

I don't think Mori has the temperament for these matches.

I know people will say he played in those wild derbies for River but that doesn't mean he has the right mentality for it.

Penalty or red card from him seems likely to me. Hopefully he learnt from last year.
