9 point gap between us and united - makes this a must win
Plus, as @everton mint says, they are most likely our nearest rival for a europa place "or best of the rest"

I'd be surprised if we finish within 15 points of United.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

A pretty good chance. You'd think Utd or the Shite will win the LC, and then if one of the Top 6 (or us) win the FA Cup (which again is probably quite likely), 7th gets into the Europa.

7th and Europe in Koeman's first season would be a decent start.

Would love to see how it made sense in the thread it was intended for.

Surely Barry will be missing as Ron has said a few times he can't play consecutive gives over a short period of time, Davies in and either a flat back four with Mori and Williams or a three with Holgate, Williams and Mori. We seriously need to get a settled team with players getting used to each other and not switching formations every game. I don't think it's doing anyone any favours

How Koeman indicated how much longer he expects McCarthy to be out? It would be nice to have him for Monday and we're really going to need him once Gana leaves.

Midfield reinforcements should be a big priority for Walsh/Koeman. If we end up with Barry/Davies/Cleverley as our only options for any significant stretch, things could get ugly in that area.

He might have been doing what Roberto used to do with the behind the front players whe playing 3 games in a week and play them for 60 minutes in each match so it's the equivalent of 2 matches. Barry has come off at the same time in both matches so wouldn't be surprised to see Barry start and Davies on after 60-65 again.

9 points. the same amount of points that separates us and Middlesbrough in 16th,
