Risk more than others think is safe, dream more than others think is practical and expect more than others think is possible.

he's absolutely right on this one though

like he says, "Arteta is good enough but England shouldn’t pick him."

This.  I wouldn't care if Messi, Ronaldo, and Kaka were "available."  The England team is for the English.  Sorry Arteta.

Barry Chuckle is right. Mikel would get chastised if he were to put a foot wrong.

Agreed< Arteta shouldn't play. He will make England better but still, it won't seem right.

Its up to Mikel at the end of the day. If he feels he wants to play international football it could be his only chance

I don't like the idea. But, if he decided to go for it, I think you'd have to give your support to the guy. He has reduced his chances of getting in to the Spanish squad by staying in England with Everton. And he's my boy.

Zidane was born in France, but I think the point trying to be made was that a hell of a lot of the French national team in the 90's weren't born in France.

English team is only for English people.

Jingoistic bullshit if you ask me.

we are one of the most diverse multiclutural societies on the planet.

Our rugby and cricket teams have moved with the times, 2 traditionally pig-headed elietist sports so why can't football? Racism?

arteta for england I say!

Arteta one be an outstanding player for England but he would also be scrutinised minutely by the press and subjected to abuse the minute he had a bad ten minutes in game.  I wouldn't if I was him.
