Howard has been talking up Donavan here, hopefully he can persuade him to come to Goodison, it would do wonders for our profile in the States, as well as some creativity up front

4 strikers?
Injured Vaughan, Injured Anichebe and Yak gone in January, I count that as leaving 2 strikers. Plus Donovan can play on either wing, an area where we aren't well stocked.

Read what I read
I said with the potential for Fella and Tim going up front
We also have Jo and Saha,
So if we lose Yak to Africa that leaves 4
Now the point I am making here is
Defender and a midfielder are the priority
and I'm sick to the guts to find out
the RS are going in for Parker from WHU
That guy would turn our season around right away

Not sure I agree, good player but we are hardly short of central midfielders and he isn't creative enough for me to make a huge difference in the way you say. As priorities go he wouldn't be top of my list at present.

How would we afford Parker anyways? We can only get players in who are available on loan so that limits us greatly. One more midfielder doesn't prevent us from getting in another defender.

We don't need a Scott Parker type player.

If we were to get a midfielder, as always, it would be either someone who gets their foot on the ball or a direct wide player.

With time, both Rodwell and Fellaini will be miles ahead of where Scott Parker ever was.

This is dragging out like the Jo deal did in the summer. How come we can't even tie up loan deals in a hurry?

I presume that we weren't that close to agreeing the deal.

We probably leaked it as we've had nothing but "bad" news to talk about recently.

Possibly.

Lets hope it's not more bad news on this one.

LA Galaxy have called a press conference for later today (Wednesday) to announce a 'major player announcement'. It's widely thought to be Donovan to us on loan for 4 months.
