I got a bit emotional watching this.

Sad that we lost both the League and Cup to those cunts that year.

Sad that we didn't win three league titles in a row.

Sad that the FA Cup isn't amazing anymore.

Sad that we totally missed the boat when the Premier League took off.

Sad that Murdoch is all over football.

Sad that Heysel happened and fucked us.

Sad that we lost Lineker, Howard, and Steven (mainly) because of it.

Sad that Bracewell got injured.

Sad that our new crop of players (Cottee, McCall, Nevin, and McDonald) weren't good enough.

Sad that back then you could realistically run into one of your heroes and have a pint with them (nowadays they'd probably get you kicked out of some pretentious VIP area and try and shag your girlfriend)

Sad that we lost that 1984 League(Milk) Cup Final - that replay atmosphere was something else, from us!

Courtesy 1984 FA Cup Final - better day!

RIP Howard Kendall, Graham Taylor and Sir Philip Carter

Sir Elt survived them all - he had a wife back then, too!

Yeah, they're actually the bits of the 80's that I'm not nostalgic for 😬

Was at that game so thanks for the memories.  Was an eventful walk down seven sisters to say the least. Great team, but thought we were better without Lineker.. i know he got 40 goals but we were better when goals from all over the park.. Another memory of Spurs was the Falcao save by big Nev which pretty much won us the league.   What a game that was
