If it was me I just would give it to a mate or a relative. Profiteering from your fellow blues does not sit right with me at all.

Would it be too much of a administrative nightmare for the club for them to reimburse you the ticket and put it back on sale themselves?

Problem with that would be people buying season tickets wrecklessley with the intention of only attending the Derby, Man.U , Chelsea, and City, might just be too many of that type.

I know several people that do that now and quite happily boast that their season ticket is paid for selling several unused stubs on stub hub :(

I think it would be great to have tickets sold at face value + standard admin charge for Stubhub and then a charity contribution to Everton in the Community. e.g. a £35 ticket should cost £35+£5 admin+£5 to Everton . This is fair, and everyone wins.

I bought a couple of tickets last year through them and on two instances when I went to pick them up they said I had to pay extra to upgrade the ticket when it clearly did not state what category the ticket was for.

What stops them from doing that currently and using Stubhub to sell them for a lot more?

I suppose you have a point, it would be better if the club took it in house, they could then restrict the number of re sales perhaps to 5 per season ?

One thing is for sure. If you're not a proper Evertonian and you see a season ticket as a way to make money? Well! This StubHub issue is open to massive abuse. It wouldn't surprise me if there were whole families of non-Evertonians selling them every week and having no intention of going the match anyway. It would be a good way for the red side to make the blue sides life more difficult for starters. And vice-versa. It must be going on all over the country, especially where tickets are hard to come by.

................yes you have to be careful. It states the category adult/oap/child at the checkout stage but only in very small print.

....................the club can easily identify these people and stop it. I don't know why they don't. Perhaps @Bally can bring it up at the fans forum ?

If it's in house they could control it however they want. Setting a low number might be a bit unfair given how many games get moved to various times and days now? Maybe tie it in to EitC, with a limit to stop selling enough games to cover the ST cost, maybe the deal is a percentage goes to the charity, and that percentage increases with each subsequent resale?

It's something I can't stand when it comes to spectator sports. Most people are genuinely fanatical about their teams. It's a shame that peoples passion is so easily penalised by unscrupulous users. I'm not giving it the moral stance here. It's just a genuine shame for those who are priced out of going and miss out.

That might be tricky ? Assume you are in the auto cup scheme which means your account is charged with the ticket price for that game and your season ticket is than validated for entry, don't think you could then put it on stub hub, only thing you can do is cancel your auto cup option.

Same is true of the live music industry. It's a fucking piss take.
