Tony Clifton

Hope we have an idea what he wants regarding personal terms because the way we've been chasing him he'll have us over a barrel.

Heard he initially asked for a home with a view of the sea, a pair of pet swans, and an endless supply of oily fish, but as none of this was do-able, he's agreed to a house near Newsham Park (there may still be swans there, from time to time), and Bill has handed over his 20k tesco credit card for the oily fish (own brand canned sardines, mackarel etc. readily available in a variety of sauces and oils).  Bill retains all clubcard points.

This echoes exactly how I'm feeling about it.

I'd also like to see us draw the Icelandic team, it's not too far, plenty of tougher draws and we can hopefully get some Ari features on NSNO.

Have disagreed with Ari on Gylfi, but I know he's taken a strong, positive position and stuck with it, has taken some criticism very close to home and has always done so with great grace and respect.

Take care Ari

Ooh, there goes Bill with his legendary hard bargaining.

Seems like Swansea wanted the 50 so they land a straight up 45 and send a postal order of 5m to Levy.

I've got a rational hatred of slimey little turds. :)

Being an Icelander I would love to see Gylfi in the beloved royal blue jersey. However I am a bit concerned about the price and how he will fit in the team. Everton are lacking pace and he will not provide that. On the bright side he will add more threat from set pieces, which we have been lacking, and he is a real workhorse as well covering alot of ground.

But coming to think of it, I think he will pay for himself. The sale of Everton kits in Iceland will skyrocekt. I´ve done the math, we will only have to sell one jersey to every inhabitant of Iceland for 145 pounds a pop to raise the 50 million!

Wouldn't surprise me to hear that was the cost of a t-shirt in the Nordic countries to be fair.
