The comparison to Naisy doesn't really go beyond his physical appearance from a distance , were you in the Upper Gwladys ? Heard someone behind me saying he looked like Naisy.

Haha I was actually but I've heard that a lot.

I think he's diminutive, busy and looks to lay it off and get involved in the box but not really a baller.

Sounds exactly like naisy to me?
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

Klaassen is a baller, give him a month n watch :D
The only real things in this reality are how perspective is perceived and eventual death...

& Unsworth kicking ass.

Yeah already you can see he's got that thing like Arteta had where you always know he's going to do the right thing and well. Technically very good and an eye for goal.

On his way to being my favourite player in the squad.

Tidy. Gets the ball and in a touch or two it is moving to one of our players who are in a better position than Klaassen was when he received it.
Doesn't want to carry the ball, he want's to ping it and launch an attack.

Class above at the minute.

Yeah I like him a lot. Imagine when everyone gets on his wavelength too

Or he has a player or two that will actually run in the right direction for an entire game (like DCL did last night)

Felt like Rooney was getting in his way last night and dragging defenders with him so that his area of the field was congested. Can the two play together? When DCL went down the middle it opened things up for Klaasen.

Rooney still has bags and bags of ability and you could see, at times, last night that he has been a genuinely world class player.

But you are right, at one point last night i saw him lay off the ball from our right back position. Considering the attention he gets, he will definitely interfere with other players' game if he is marauding all over the pitch. (which happens the more he gets frustrated)

Those little flicks down the left to Baines were sublime

Surprised to see everyone being so positive.

Was tidy but ultimately quiet for me.

I don't think we will see the best of him while Rooney is occupying similar areas of the pitch. He obviously has talent but plays very centrally so you have Rooney dropping back and Klaasen moving forward into the same areas.

When i was looking through this thread i saw your earlier comment and recognised that you haven't 'got' him yet.

Think of all the plaudits Kante & Gana get for doing all of their little, crucial bits in between our D and the centre circle.
Klaassen is the attacking equivilent inbetween the cenre circle and their D. The interceptions and pressing are the same for both roles. But where the defensive side are making tackles, Klaassen is looking to make a key pass. With a decent striker this lads assists will be quite high. The amount of times he 'sets up' an assister will be astronomical though. ALL of our play is going to be going through him.

It looks like he's our next captain. He's in control of his decision making and temperament and imo, most importantly, his awareness is top drawer.

He's neat and tidy on the ball, looks to get it moving, plays with his head up and not afraid to get stuck in. He was a bit quiet yesterday but there are some very positive signs
