Very rare we sign a playey who is 100% what we need

This is one of those rare occasions.

Ticks absolutley every box for us.

His goalscoring record is very impressive

10 in 26
6 in 30
13 in 31
14 in 33

Granted that's in the dutch league and players are very hit and miss when they come from Holland, but it translates well when he's played in Europe or at international level

6 in 16 in the europa
4 in 14 for Holland. Goals coming against Spain, Belgium and Ivory Coast

Really excited about this lad.

Yeah I'm also really excited.

Glad to see Ron using his knowledge of Dutch football to get us some players in like he did successfully at Southampton

Let's hope he is of the same mold as Christian Eriksen.

He's a bit of a mix between Messi, Ronaldo, Pele and Maradona.

...what, you mean like a new Colin Harvey?!

He's nothing like Eriksen from all the clips and quotes I've seen. Koeman stressed his engine, his pressing and output of goals/assists.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

Not too sure what to make of this. I hoped he would have deleted his number after last summer.

Davy Klaassen: ”Everton is the only club I spoke to

The 24-year-old stated that he could have waited until the end of the transfer window to sign for a new club but he had such a good feeling at Everton that he signed for the first club he spoke to.

Klaassen said, ”I am delighted to sign for Everton and I have a good feeling about the club that was apparent when I went there yesterday.

”I spoke to Ronald Koeman a couple of weeks ago and my feeling about Everton was positive and he spoke about the plans that the club have for the future and the role that I will play.

”Koeman also told me that Everton want to score a lot of goals next season and use my attacking qualities .He was also very open and clear about what he wants to achieve with the club. The fact that Koeman is also Dutch means it will be easy to communicate with him.

”Everton is the only club I spoke to in regards to a transfer. I could have also waited until the end of the transfer window but if I have a good feeling I go for it. After the international games I knew that I wanted a new challenge. I was not planning to leave Ajax just for the sake of it.

”Goodison Park has a great atmosphere. England is also a footballing country and I believe that I will feel at home here.

”I have already seen the opening fixtures for the new Premier League season playing against Stoke City then Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur. I am looking forward to it and I want to play at the highest level.

”Everton finished 7th last season and our goal is to finish higher than that this coming season and close the gap between us and the top 6 and I hope to play a big part in that.”

He's just keeps saying the right things. If we are successful he'll become a club legend. He's gonna get such an ovation when he comes out of the tunnel!

A classy squad? Look at what some of the greats have got to say about Davy Klaassen, for example. We're signing some real quality. :)

Steinbeck's maxim: “Socialism never took root in America because the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires.”.
