The only worry I would have would be his poor injury record.

He's a good link up player, and offers the versality of being comfortable out wide.
We've got a lot of versatility in attacking positions now. I want a big hairy-arsed striker who judges himself by how many goals he scores.

Yeah, Giroud isn't coming. However, it was more the type of player I think we're after (for good reason).

I'd not mind Welbeck in either, if we had another player like Dzeko or some such arriving too.

Well yeah! Dzeko's also another possibility. We haven't got so far as a refusal from him either, as far as I'm aware. :)
Steinbeck's maxim: “Socialism never took root in America because the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires.”.

Haven't got much pace though have we, which Welbeck would bring.
Dignity does not consist in possessing honours, but in deserving them

Yes granted you can never have enough pace.

Yeah, I know Lookman has it, and we (hopefully) have Coleman and Bolasie to come back good as new, but you can't rely on them being unscathed from such long lay-offs.

Charlie Austin would be an option to offer us something we haven't got. Experienced, not too old, better goals to games ratio than many others that have been mentioned.

Can see Newcastle really struggling this year.

Championship team with an ultra negative cheque-book manager.
I'm more trusting of fellas when they have my cock in their mouth

There are only two things I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures... and the Dutch.
