Need a nice comfortable 2/3-0 win to take to Croatia, their record is poor in England, lost 6 drawn 1. Stoke knocked them out a few years back I believe. Away tie is bound to be tough though and can see us conceding over there.

Why can you see us conceding over there? We had a great defensive record last season and we've only strengthened at the back this summer. Not conceded in both competitive games we've played up to now either.
I agree were more solid now, I can just see us conceding over there be a tough atmosphere probably, and so im saying we need to take a clean sheet and a 2 goal lead over there - I obviously fancy us to get through overall

I'd play the 2nd half team from the Stoke game, maybe minus Martina for Kenny or Holgate

Bare in mind we don't play city until the Monday night anyway

Full strength on Thursday.  If the result is such that we need to go close to full strength again on 24 August, then you hold a few key players back (Rooney, Schneiderlin, maybe even Baines) v. City.

We have maybe a 10% shot of getting any result out of the Etihad, and it would torpedo our season to go out in the Europa qualifiers.  We have to be rational about things.
Bit negative that like re city away, got a point there last season, more than capable of taking three with the quality we have, very tough game obviously but I'd be disappointed if we don't take a point

Surely it's early enough in the season to play full strength in both games?
I think so, probably better to have a decent number of games at the moment.
