A loss if he goes, his experience is priceless

Shame really, but let him have his game time elsewhere if he's not going to get it with us. Thanks for the memories Gareth.

Be gutted if he did but would understand his motivations.

Sorry to see him go . Guaranteed a great reception when he comes back with WBA.

Wouldn't be keen to see him go. We have two midfielders who can control a game from deep and he's one. If he goes we're left with no deputy for Big Morgs and that's not an ideal situation.

I'm a bit worried that we're not building a squad. Yeah we're buying a lot of players but also selling a lot so the number of options we have across the pitch has increased only slightly. The bench last weekend showed we're seriously lacking in depth throughout the team.

Don't get why we would let him go

Thanks for the memories Gareth. Fantastic in his first season and one of the only standouts in Martinez's last season.

I understand that West Brom would play him every week and we wouldn't but isn't that why you have a squad? Surely the interests of Everton come before the interests of the player?

On the other hand some have complained  in the past about us keeping players who are past their best, i.e. Jags, Osman, Barry just for their "influence in the dressing room" and occasionally on the pitch. Unfortunately neither Jags nor Barry are suited to give us cover where we need it, at full back.
On the other hand I would have tried to sign signed Zabaletta as cover.

I can only assume Koeman has seen enough in Besic to think he can be a valuable member of the squad now, injuries permitting.

Davies, Gueye, Schniderlin and McCarthy are adequate cover for the 2 central roles we seem to operate with

Job done for us and good move for him

All the best, GB

Looking forward to us signing a peach of a left footer (Mata? Sessegnon? Tierney? Mahrez?)

I suspect we're willing to let him go because of the limited opportunities available to him, and out of respect for his professionalism and need to play games.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.
