Looked knackered last 20 minutes though. He made some great runs but the ball was played a split second too late most times, if at all. He'll have to get used to that here, our players are good but they're not at the level he's been used to most of his career.

Rooney is the de facto captain anyway. Top boy, most vocal, well respected both inside and outside the club. Brings a nice balance not giving him the armband as well. He can lead without it.

Building a squad of leaders. Jags and Baines are our captain and vice captain, Rooney has captained for years. Coleman captain of Ireland, Williams captain of Wales, Klaassen was captain of Ajax. Keane and Pickford look like they've got it in them. Even Martina is captain of Curaçao.

He'll be our top scorer this season, 15 goals minimum. Which will go some way to dispelling the belief from some that the world was falling in when we sold Lukaku.
