"A left footed central defender, back-up for Leighton Baines and also a striker."

I thought we were going for a left footed LB/CB combo player. It would seem we might be going for 2 players at the back.

Plus a new striker. I would've liked a winger too, but maybe Bolasie is further along and Lookman will get a chance.

He should march into Bills office tomorrow with the names of who he wants and tell him to tell Moshiri to tell Elstone to tell Walsh to get right on it

Liked him demanding the striker as well

He said something like 'if we want to be successful we need another striker'

He loves putting pressure on the board doesn't he!
You think Lou Bega knocked it out of the park with Mambo number 1?!No but he kept at it!

Yeah, after years of Moyes' "we'll gooo with hwhat we've gooot" it's very refreshing to not have a teachers pet as manager

Vermaelan on loan could cover both positions and wouldn't surprise me to see a striker in on loan too. Bit late in the day to be nicking top drawer strikers.

Will be surprised if it isn't Kempf.

Despite the injuries I can't see Vermaelen coming here to be fourth choice.

As for a striker, god knows.

Striker is the real question, no doubt.

Seems to be very quiet too on that front, compared with all the names/links earlier in the window.

Not a fan

Neither am I, but he was a better striker/defender hyvrid that Warhurst.  Though Warhurst could play midfield too.

Whatever happened to defenders as strikers, did Steve Watson kill it dead?
