I think it's just the fact Koeman is a massive pragmatist.

He said last year they got all the forward options they targeted so he was not needed.
This year we didn't get all our striking targets and he is a striker at the club so will be brought into the fold.

If he is shit in training he wont make the matchday squad. Simple as that.

Yeah possibly. Although we only had Lukaku and Valencia last season though, Kone wasn't used either so you could argue we actually have more forward options this season. Although we do have more games to play so that does factor into it.

We have more forward options, they're just probably not as good. :)

He ain't playing anyway is he. This is just a more humane way of paying him 55 grand a week.

Is that how much he's on?

What a crazy situation these are desperate times. This is our answer to the question that has been unanswered all summer?

The answer has been under our lockers all this time. Hope he proves everyone wrong but I can't see it myself.

What's Oumar's motivation to play well for a manager that hung him out to dry?

He certainly avoided burning any bridges in the past.

Quote from: Oumar
Anything can change. Koeman just wants the best for himself and, in two months, if I can be the best for him, he will take me, because he doesnít have any problem with me and I donít have any problem with him.

He was in the league squad but not Europa

Barkley and Coleman are in the Europa one though
You think Lou Bega knocked it out of the park with Mambo number 1?!No but he kept at it!

You see this is what makes me think he's not genuine in integrating him back into the squad. In the Europa you may get a dead rubber game to rest all your 1st teamers but no gimme's in the league.

Exactly. The Europa is where we might be able to field him.

Maybe the squad had to be submitted earlier and we still thought he might be sold (Turkish transfer window was still open.)

It could also be Koeman's way of not rewarding him before he's done anything in the first team. I agree this is a less likely explanation!

Who cares. He'll play about 37 minutes in two games against League One teams.
