Yes but you are only arrested if you blow over the limit and you are only on suspicion untill the court finds you guilty, which will happen if he was over the limit.

Not an indication of guilt. The breatherlisers on the side of the road don't hold up in court. He could have went back to the police station done a blood test and in a few days if comes back under.

Given you only get arrested if you were driving and you were drunk, I don't think that makes much of a difference. Although it is possible that he had been eating too much yoghurt or something, that scenario is unlikely.

Again, you don't get arrested for being drunk and driving. You get arrested for blowing over a roadside breatherliser, which can read high for many reasons, 1 pint can put some people over, it doesn't mean you're drunk.
It's just an investigation and up to know he's not guilty of anything.

Yes they do have it.

They also have firms that just send 1 guy on a little fold down scooter that they put in your boot and then drive your car.

I often wondered why this wasn't more successful. I suppose most people would rather collapse in a taxi with a burger and get the missus to drive you to pick the car up the next day than have some stranger come and drive your motor.

In Hungary there is a service, it costs about twice as much as a taxi, you ring them and two blokes arrive in a car, and one of them will drive you home in your own car. (The other is there to drive the first bloke back after they're done. :))

Is this not a thing in England?

Yeah, used to have a guy on a gold away moped drive you home then jump on his moped and leave

Edit - beaten to it

Maybe he got some tips on Sunday from Marcos Alonso about drink driving.

I know the roadside test doesn't stand up in court but you are taken to a police station where they have a machine breathalyser which does stand up in court and the result is immediate. I have heard though of cases where by the time they got to the police station and done that test the alcohol level had fallen below the limit and they are not charged, this obviously only happens if you were marginally over the limit, depends how fast they got him to the station.

Don't get me wrong I wouldn't turn her down but there's something annoying about her I can't put my finger on. Like she'd be proper hard work and up her own backside.

If he's guilty he needs a proper dressing down. Idiotic behaviour.

Which one of his mates thought it'd be a good idea to watch him take his keys out and say 'Right I'm off lads.'

Probably Darron Gibson, no pun intended.

That would be her muff mate.  ;)

On the Rooney DD thing.
If you take a look at the Mail report, they rattle on about a time in November when he'd had a few drinks with the England squad when he wasn't driving anywhere. Nothing to do with what happened last night. They just like to throw up as much shit as they can and hope it will stick. Anything to do with last night is still in process.

Zoolander

Now, if he didn't retire from international duty he'd be here in Malta. Where every fucker drinks and gets in their cars (not saying it's right btw) and the police don't give two fucks. He could've got pissed, sunburnt and still had a licence!
On a separate note and joking aside, pisses me off when footballers do shit like this - not like you can't afford a cab is it. Could've ordered a fucking helicopter and it wouldn't dent the bank balance.

Class act on the pitch, the consummate professional.

Off the pitch he's a fucking moron. He's always done stupid shit, if anything it's ramped up in recent years with the boozing, boxing etc.

No reason to think that would've changed with the move back to us. If anything with the reduced spotlight and pressure, it's reason to take the piss even more.
