I cant believe people think it wont affect his football if his personal life falls apart.

I think if Coleen leaves with the kids he will be devastated.
You mean when she kicks him out 😅😅....doubt she'd leave .
When he was caught with the brass she forgave him (let's face it don't even think they were married at the time she'd have got fuck all) ....now though is completely different it's Rooney getting dry bummed by a divorce lawyer I envisage next .😅

It depends. It may well be his only outlet to deal with it or he may implode, kicking shot out of everyone he comes across. I always felt that playing was the best for me when going through personal shit. It was something I could focus on and have control over

No, but let's be honest if there is ever a club that is going to do it it will be us.

The club that made Duncan Ferguson captain?

Personally I'm assuming she won't leave him for the kids sake, maybe I'm deluded to think you know what you are letting yourself in for marrying a chappie like Rooney.

I don't think it will, because unfortunately she probably puts up with the shit that happens on the side. It just doesn't usually get out into the public domain. It's textbook.

And wouldn't let kids have an alcohol sponsor on their shirts. Making a stand or bowing to public opinion. Although I was unaware the public even made any connection between xs shirts and a sponsor; until we made our stand of course.

Apparently he's in court two days before we play Utd.

But obviously he's going to be fine with all the media circus around him that day and he'll be fully focused on the match and it won't effect his preparation at all.

Pretty sure you can't advertise alcohol on junior kits by law. That's why the youth teams originally played with Chang Soda on the kits.

It was the law that changed wasn't it?

According to the BBC, it's set for the day after. Which isn't ideal, considering the type of pressure a big game like this would involve.

Be good if he could plead guilty without appearing and accept the consequences but I doubt that'll happen.

Firmino and Yaya Toure both attended court - it's for the best to show contrition in public for something that's unacceptable.

Still feel like the rest of the story is a sting.

He shouldn't have been drink-driving, no-one should.

Aside from that part of it, I genuinely couldn't give a toss about his private life and think a lot of preachy, moralistic bullshit has been written about the situation.

Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

I've just googled it and you have to appear in person on a DD. It's a criminal offence. They could make an example of him if they feel like it. I'm sure he'll be well represented though.
