A key difference being that their fullbacks/wingbacks have pace and engines to get up and down all day.

Exactly.

That is where their dynamism comes from, to compliment the quick passing and excellent movement of the rest of their side.

We currently have no notable pace from our wingbacks, nor quick passing or movement from the rest of our players.

Also, all their centre halves can pass the ball and they play a high line and compress the play very effectively, making their pressing much easier and over shorter distances.
The highway's jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive. Everybody's out on the run tonight but there's no place left to hide. Together, Wendy, we can live with the sadness, I'll love you with all the madness in my soul.

So they basically do very well all the things Koeman talks about wanting us to do.

So they basically do very well all the things Koeman talks about wanting us to do.

Yes, plus they have more 'tools' in which to do them (pace, ball-playing centre-halves, and they are clearly coached to pass and move, a lot)

So our current 'failings' as far as I can see are in recruitment (for not signing and/or getting rid of players with pace) and not coaching quick pass and move well enough.

Of course this may all click once the players know each other better, however Koeman does seem to favour the direct approach more, although this will have trouble succeeding without a target man.

Reckon this game will start with 10 centre mids on the pitch.

Are we missing anyone? Is Schneiderlin out for example?
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

Think he only had a One match ban

Unsure if Klaassen is back from injury yet and hopefully Gana is feeling no ill effects as he was carrying a knock last time out

Holgate and Pickford pulled out of under 21 duty with knocks so unclear whether that was anything to worry about

Also presumably there's been no one else shot in the Besic family

Coleman, Bolasie and Funes Mori remain long term absentees
You think Lou Bega knocked it out of the park with Mambo number 1?!No but he kept at it!

oh FFS, if we end up missing Pickford and Holgate I might just fucking shoot myself already.

Schneiderlin was only 1-game ban, and a bullshit one at that.  If it had been 3 games, it would have been reviewable and easily overturned.

Good news front - will be televised on CNBC, so Blarg doesn't have to spring for NBC Sports Gold just yet.

I'd doubt Holgate will start anyway and I'm certain Pickford will

What book?
Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man how to fish, the government will tell him to register his business license, pay income tax, pay payroll, pay for fishing permit.

Has he done his press conference? It's not responding anywhere.

I might have held him out of the XI (but not the squad) one match, but I support Koeman's decision
