So now he's trying to throw Kenright under the bus, Barton claims he's an Evertonian but ain't, trying to capitalise on our failures with talksport by making out he's got the inside track on a club that refused to have any association with the shitbag.

The Koeman/Walsh relationship with regards to building a balanced squad seems more in question together with not getting the Giroud deal done before allowing Lukaku to leave.

I struggle to take this fella seriously, people seem to listen to him because he comes across as intelligent on twitter, when in reality he knows fuck all

Looks like they've pulled the story, the Talksport links not working either. Maybe Moshies Lawyer been on the blower.

Basically said it was Kenright that pulled the plug on any deal for a Striker cause he didn't want to overspend.

I dislike Barton he's a knob but how do we know he doesn't know someone at the club?
There's a reason we never bought a striker

I'm not going to suggest I like Barton but he does seem a very interesting character.

Would a love a beer and a chat with the fella.

I'm sure he has more of an inside track than most of us so to just say he's talking bollocks shouldn't be the stock answer. He was quite confident on the Barkley to Chelsea story so whether you like him or believe him or not his views on Everton are worth a listen if nothing else.

More likely it's a fabricated story not even from Barton.

This the same Joey Barton who said the reason why Barkley rejected Chelsea is because Conte switched his phone, Conte who almost pissed his kecks laughing when he was asked about it, then said its untrue.

He's an attention seeking pleb who should be ignored.

Ha yeah debatable...although most heated philosophical discussions do end up with some kind of regrettable action or two.

The lad has made a career out of being a nob on the pitch, so it's only natural that he takes his talents to punditry.
