makes me laugh how so many on here thought he was shite and we didnt need him
Makes ZERO difference what we thought. He wanted to leave. If Man U don't win he will want to leave there. It's not a hard frikking concept.

He hasn't got the legs to get up and down (which is beyond essential in a wing-back, even more than a full-back), so he ends up not venturing forward as a precaution.

He may not have the legs, but our build up is so lethargic.. we just refuse to pass to him, he can cross the ball in from anywhere with much better accuracy and delivery than Martina.. plus we have 2 holding midfielders who can cover Baines when he does venture forwards.

Baines has definitely lost his mojo for some reason, Martina showing him up that half

much better than i expected... Martinas first mistake came on the 41st minute..

Your prejudice against Martina is illogical, he's having a decent game, have a go at someone else for a change.

A very good half after the goal for me. Thought Williams was great. Martina and Davies are our out balls. Keane is sloppy for me right now, wouldn't mind seeing us bring Calvert Lewin on and going 4-4-2

Wtf is this team here

Rooney as a lone striker

No attacking players with pace or width

Southampton's reserve right back as our wing back

3 slow centre backs

Fuck sake.

Nice to see Rooney stay on his feet when he hits a shot for a change.

Still not overly convinced of his defending but going forward, possibly our best outlet ?

We've had more yellow cards than shots on goal so far this season ffs
I heard that stat too...it is awful but give us a bit of a break: away at both Manchester teams, Chelsea and Spurs...not exactly an average representation...

We've had worse halves this season. Davies does bring good energy, and the others seem to respond really well to that. Although we're 1-0 down, I've seen enough bright spots to ease some of my worries. I mean, we'll still be 4th from bottom if it stays like this, but let's see where we are after 10 games.

I honestly think that's more of a reflection on Utd being quite average in midfield without Pogba.

he tackled Keane!! in the right back slot, gave the ball to man utd, then Davies had to cover.

its not illogical, he's our poorest squad player.
i was actually giving him credit, your post was illogical. :p
