I said it in the game thread. They were not prepared at all. Plain and simple.

We can argue formations and where players play till were blue in the teeth. If the team is not prepared then it doesn't matter.

You'd imagine the owner might want to ask him a bit more about his holiday commitments after hearing that.

that's what happened to Martinez in the end as well

And to be fair Martinez lasted a long time partially because everyone could see what he was aiming for, the style of play was flawed but didn't seem a mile away from workable without needing wholesale changes.
