The Derby where Rodwell got sent off. Only because I was at sea at the time and we didn't have any contact with the outside world (submarines) the only info we received is little bits of news over VLF. One of the communicators on shore was a mate of mine and sent the message in that we'd beat the shit 4-1. I let all the kopites on board have it for about 3 months, in he most obnoxious ways possible.

Then we got back... Turns out the twat had me on a wind up. Obviously the kopites had a field day.

If we're going back to last century -

1982: 0-5 against Liverpool at Goodison (Rush 4)

And Southall was brilliant!

76/77 FA cup replay with the shite 3-0 to them after we beat the bastards fair and square, but the welsh turd Clive Thomas disallowed Hamilton's winner.
I still despise Clive Thomas..

4-0 loss at Anfield 2 years ago.  I was also fuming at the Bournemouth game that season and I'm usually not that arsed.  Just because it was so stupid really - when you're getting pumped you soon accept it during the game and that's it.

I agree with all above

But the one on Thursday against Atalanta is right up there, for the gutless, clueless players, its a hard one to take....

Not sure why you're complaining.

Three months where you thought we'd won a derby?

Sounds magical.

Losing 6-2 at Villa in '89 (I think) live on telly was particularly painful

My mate still reminds me about that one. At least we'll likely only play them again in cup competitions.

Middlesboro 3 Everton 0 in the FA Cup the last game of Walter Smith, christ that was depressing.

Annoyed me so much I felt the need to look the side up...

Everton: Simonsen, Pistone, Stubbs, Weir, Unsworth, Clarke, Gascoigne, Gemmill (Blomqvist 73), Linderoth (Alexandersson 45), Radzinski, Moore (Chadwick 45). Subs Not Used: Gerrard, Cleland.

This on the BBC archive for it

Will I stay? Definitely. I will soldier on, I have done so before and I will do so again
Everton manager Walter Smith

That fucking villa game where the brown brogued twat fucked the pooch and brought attackers on when we were cruising and needed to chill out for five mins ...then let villa roll us over and scratch our belly .......and the Chelsea cup final were Saha scored and the team seemingly got back on the bus ...after ten mins.
