Even if we fly through these we might end up 7th, which should be the minimum of our aspirations as we are easily, or should be, the 7th best team in the league anyway. So nothing gained apart from parity with what we expect. Which makes it all a bit meh to me.

I'm probably just disappointed with my expectations being shot down in typical Everton fashion so early that's all.

Oops, sorry thought this was the optimism thread.

To answer the OP, i doubt 18 points would remove the pressure. The project is to get us ultimately into the CL, since few will start believing we can get that from Europa until we at least make the QF, the pressure is going to stay on now. I think we'll probably get 11 points, maybe 13.

We should get 13, at least.

We will get 9. 2 wins 3 draws 1 loss

It doesn't matter who we play, every game is going to be excruciating to be in because we can't score and we are prone to mistakes at the back. It's going to be a grind every game.

If we're not getting maximum points from Bournemouth, Burnley, Brighton and Watford then he deserves all the stick he'll inevitably get.

We look incapable of building a decent attack at times right now so I doubt we'll win all those games

Loving the negativity here, some of you need to get a grip, the only game we will struggle in is Arsenal away as we usually do, we should and will win all of the others.
