I'd maybe go

------------------Pickford----------------
Kenny-------Keane------Jags-------Baines
------------Schneiderlin---Davies-------
Lookman----------------------------Lennon
--------------Rooney-----Sandro--------

Bench: Stek, Williams, Besic, Vlasic, Niasse, DCL, Klaasen

I'd kick in 1 whole American dollar.  What can I say, glutton for punishment.

/also trying to follow the radio broadcast is just fucking maddening

Why are people suggesting to play the worst RB at the club out of his usual position and potentially making him worse in an unfamiliar position to him. Madness

Because he's good going forward, he is the only other first teamer who can play left-back, and Baines is not getting any younger (nor is he pulling up trees at the moment) so any chance we get to give him a rest should be taken.

Do we even have a left footed player at the club? What the fuck is the plan if and when baines' injury flares up again?
I knew that someday I was going to die, and I knew that before I died, two things would happen to me. That number one; I would regret my entire life, and number two; that I would want to live my life over again.

I think the plan is simply to hope and pray that Baines can play every single game until at least someone else comes in during the January transfer window.

Baines has lost it for me, lads.

I know it's hard to admit, but he doesn't have it anymore.

We can make all the excuses up for him like he isn't supported on the left, we're not giving him the ball etc but he's hit the road to decline.

Which is to be expected like. But it's time to admit he's done.

But in typical Everton fashion we're wheeling him out every game when he can't hack it anymore.

Sadly, yes.

The decline has been steady over a couple of seasons.

His passing is still incisive, but his forays forward are much rarer these days, probably because he knows he lacks the pace to get back, and that we lack the personnel and talent to cover him adequately if he is caught out upfield.

Plus, let's be honest, even in his pomp he was never the best at cutting out crosses either  ;D

I 100% agree on this. We needed a LB badly for rotation at very least over the summer. I also doubt we will deal with this issue in January.
Feel Baines might struggle a lot as the season goes on a tiredness sets in.

He played for the U23's against Derby on Mon. First time I have seen him mentioned for a long time. He went on loan last year to Wigan last year I think? Although he never got many minutes for them.

Cannot see game listed on any streams. Looks like it's Radio Merseyside or Everton Radio live!
Or I might have to get down there after work!
