We do know that Schneiderlin can be very good and he hasn't been bad tonight actually.

Klaassen I am worried, maybe Koeman is right and it might take him a year to get up to speed. Really wanted it to work but he strikes me as the kind of AM that fits like a cog into a team playing well but isn't able to affect a team playing poorly.

Let's face it, he's basically a shit Dirk Kuyt.

Going into a season with European football sans fullback cover was pure malpractice.  You can see that on display today.

And that was obvious to each and every one of us in August, so not just hindsight being 20/20.
Which is why I always say Walsh should be more culpable and get more shit than he does. His job is to give the manager the tools to do the job.

deserved to be level there, can't fault the effort even if we are lacking in quality in numerous positions

Poor start apu but much better as the half wore one.

Really need to carry that into the second half and get an early goal.

3rd choice RB playing at LB...

Exactly. And any free transfer Soton reject shouldnt be anywhere near our first team.

Highlight of our season is "we havent actually been THAT bad" what sort of perspective should we take from that
Agreed - but people just enjoy us being shit and revel in it.

Surely Luke Garbutt would be a better option at left back than Martina?

Holgate is indeed having a mare, and I'd still leave him on instead of Cuco.  That's how awful our fullback situation is.

Could eventually take both off if Baines comes on and move Davies back, but that means can only take Klaassen off up front.

We've grown into the game well, considering confidence will be on its arse and the early blow. Klaassen has gotten better as the game has gone on, Davies and Mirallas have been energetic and Williams has been solid. Keep up the tempo of the second half of that period and we'll get chances.

Less said about Martina the better really, he evidently has no left foot, so it's an odd one to have him out there.

Perspective - we havenít actually been that bad. Bad decision making in final 3rd and Holgate having a mare.

We just don't really look like scoring barring a mistake.

Davies pass to Mirallas was pretty much the only opportunity we produced that was a threat from open play.

I doubt it was Walsh insisting that we must get Sigurdsson at all costs.
