Ill have go with this, so many outstanding performances by our players Barkley, Mirallas, Deulofeu, Barry, Coleman and Lukaku...

What season has been the best you have seen us play? or your favourite and why?

I went with the above season, as we where solid defensively, could pass the ball, players could run with the ball an we where pretty lethal infront of goal..

The Arsenal game at Goodison that season was the complete performance, bullied and outclassed them from the first minute.

Have to say 04/05 was an amazing season, tactically we where spot on + our never say die attitude.. but out football was atrocious at times lol if it wasnt for out shit football, that would be my favourite season.

Roberto's first, as I was fully engaged, we had two legitimate young stars in Rom and Ross, and I believed we were on the cusp of doing something legitimately great.

1995/96 was a great season.

Kanchelskis had a stormer that campaign.

04/05 finishing 4th after finishing 17th previous season and selling Rooney and replacing him with Marcus Bent. Fergusons goal against the Mancs.

07/08 - The Fiorentina game. Had we won the shootout I am convinced we would have gone on to win the tournament. The final that year was Rangers v Zenit. Rangers were shite and we had already beat Zenit in the groups.

08/09 - The peak of the Moyes era. Team had perfect balance, goals, solid and fight. If the spine of Jagielka, Arteta and Yakubu had not got injured that year we would have atleast put up a better fight in the cup final. What a moment it was when Jags slotted the pen.

13/14 - goes down as our best season since we won the league in 87. Real shame it turned sour after as I genuinely believed at the time with Marrinez we had found a good blend in terms of keeping Moyes solid defensive qualities mixed with Martinez flair, it did work which is why we did so well that year, just a shame he went full blown bobby the following two seasons.

The ones that come to mind first are:

95/96 - fnished 6th I tnink, Kanchelskis was awesome
04/05 - Finished fourth with a cheap but hardworking and organised squad
07/08 - That UEFA Cup run was great
13/14 - I hated Martinez come the end of his reign, but this season IMO is the best football we've played since I've been following/supporting the club

85/86. The last time we won anything of true significance.
