Probably end up with one of Leicester's 27 strikers

Probably their 27th choice.

Just over 2 months for Walsh and the board to bring in a new striker so I am hoping that there is some movement going on. From what I understand, the club was trying to bring back Onyekuru early from his loan deal so that suggests that at least they are currently looking at different possibilities to address this situation by the time January comes.

Their 27th choice would still be a starter for us - for perspective!

Lukaku refuses to sign his contract and informed the club he’d be off - in March. Come 31st August we didn’t have a replacement. Don’t hold your breath...or watch this space.

Juventus and Inter monitoring Giroud apparently, so can forget that one.

Inter could well afford the 40 million price tag. Not sure about Juventus like. :)

Giroud is completely off the table now. If he didn’t want to come when the conversation was about ‘do you want to help us break into the top 4?’ Then doubt he’d want to come now the conversation is ‘do you want to try to keep us up?’.

Fuck him his overly groomed beard and quiff and his bint and her tub of vasso.....
We need to persue other targets and Walsh and whoever the fuck is allegedly in charge of transfers needs to grow a set of brass ones and get the check book out and stop fucking around .

Knowing Everton, we'll probably sign a player in January who 'has experience before of operating in the Number 9 role' but is actually a natural 'number 10'.

Grioud was only ever intended as a stop gap, he was probably near the front of that queue. But we must have been looking at other more long term options before. I think we have enough quality and ability up front to get goals, but we just don't create much.

Lukaku was always a bit of an outlier in terms of goals and ability. He turned 23 and was our top PL goalscorer and European goalscorer before leaving and was one of hottest properties in world football, the lazy shit.

If we are going to get a striker, they need to be top quality and striker for years to come, and we have Onyekuru to add to options. Unfortunately there is lot more demand than supply at the top level.

Even in defeat today, what a beautiful assist that was from Romelu.  He's an amazing footballer, and I just miss him.
