The thing is Andy Gray gets Everton and he was part of the most successful side in the club's history, he has his finger on the pulse.

He must have that finger in deep to feel our pulse right now.

I think we are all in the same boat. I've no idea myself what the set up is, and I don't think anyone else outside of the management of the club has either. It's the first time our club has worked with a director of football. It follows for that reason that It's of greater concern on this occasion, exactly, because of this different setup. At least when a manager did all the planning and player recruitment requests to the board, it narrowed down the field who was responsible for what.

Still, given the results, you can understand the appeal for people at the club of a set up with no clear accountability.
