Well you won't know until he manages a better club. The fact he's been there five years and they're still a PL club speaks volumes considering they've been the smallest club in the league during that time.

They might be small but he's spent a shit load of money.

15/16 season at Dortmund......2nd in the league, runners up in the German cup and quarter finalist in the Europa league.
16/17 season at Dortmund......3rd in the league, won the German cup and quarter finalist in the Champions league.

I think he has some idea of what he's doing.

Nobody ever seems to mention that Dyche got relegated with Burnley.

I know they are a small unfashionable club with relatively small resources,  but he did get them relegated. That did actually happen.

It would be nice to at least be turned down by a top manager as opposed to not even being linked with one.

Pulls? Fucking hell, is this just to make the thought of Allardyce more appealing?

I can't think of any other possible explanation.

I always assumed that this Fonseca chap was actually Daniel Fonseca....the former Napoli and Roma striker.

Literally found out today that it isn't.

I thought one of the main reasons for appointing Brands was so that he could advise on who the next manager should be.

I'll be a little underwhelmed if his suggestion is "get the guy who you tried to get 7 months ago".

Call me thick, but why would we owe Watford compensation for one of their ex managers?

We’ve obviously approached him before we’ve asked them permission to speak to him.

But that’s what happens in every transfer and managerial appointment these days.

Maybe we’ve jumped the gun and met him rather than just done it through intermediaries and therefore we were offering some to be polite...

You mean they want compensation for us tapping him up 7 months ago?

We still tapped him up though I suppose

Well they should have perused that matter then.

They did and have continued to since

They basically blamed us for their sudden loss of form, Silva's head was turned, he wanted to come to us, they refused to let him speak to us so he downed tools

I remember them being pissed off at the time, but not really heard much since he was sacked.

Surely the case would have been wrapped up by now if they had been actively perusing it for the last 6 or 7 months.
