Heís actually made a lot of decent signings just not built a good team. Also weíve paid way too much for proven

Think our problems have been too many cooks, Walsh not showing his authority and our daft not taking no for an answer policy. Just meant weíve pissed about way too long on the likes of sigurdsson and giroud. Missing 1 and paying too much for the other

Genuinely think itís more the entire set up than an individual.

Is Walsh a good director of football? Iím not sure heís even done the job yet for us to judge him on it

The only worry for me is if Allardyce does stay.

If he goes then it'll be Fonseca, Howe or Silva that comes in and they all fit the profile of what we should be looking for. Young managers who play attractive football.

Fonseca appears to be the number one target and I think from all the options he has his side playing the best football from the three but he's also at a league contender with Shakhtar and I'm not convinced he'll replicate those good things here.

Howe is massively underappreciated. Got Bournemouth promoted from league 2, league 1, the Championship and has kept them in the premier league for several seasons now playing good football with fairly average players. They've even improved defensively this season which is a doubt around him.

Silva is the biggest question mark out of the three but I do like him and I think he just needs to find the right club with the right resources. I think he's probably the most likely of the three to take over but certainly has plenty to prove if it's to be the case.

If he goes I should  reset the poll, keeping some of these names and adding a few new ones.  New suggestions welcome

Heimir Hallgrimsson

Had to google him, at least he would offer a cheap veneer or two.  Would be having Firmino as his best customer trying to keep those joke of gnashers pearly white

American Evertonian

Quite a few big clubs in Europe that will have head coaching vacancies this year: Bayern, PSG, Dortmund, Chelsea (if rumors are to be true), and Arsenal.

We may end up hoping to get the best of the rest. Assuming Ancelloti and Tuchel will fill two of those voids.
Are we there yet?

I can well see us deliberating too long and watching most of the available managers getting snapped up and giving a chance to Artera or even Vieira out of desperation.

Mayor Farnum

Pretty much had six months to sort through a few candidates and it looks like we've not gone beyond Silva. Could work out but more unimaginative thinking from EFC.

I still think itís Silva, he hasnít taken another job after Watford and Iím pretty sure Southampton, WBA or Stoke would have given him a crack.

As he has  been sitting in the shadows it has me thinking that a gentlemanís agreement is in place with Moshiri hence cutting out the £10m payment to Watford, pay out BFS for the final year of his contract and the Mosh saves £5m. Happy days we get Silva and not the Fonz

The plus point of Silva is that heíll have had 6 months to watch us and know exactly where weíre weak and need working on.
