Correct

Silva has - his record?

So no record is better than increasing a team's win ratio by over 20% and transforming two team's playing styles to being far more positive, fluid football? Gotcha.

Oh, and we're still ignoring his other clubs. Top work.

And Silva's not a gamble?

Silva lining or Silva bullet?

Place your bets

Arteta is not cheap, it's good business, as long as Arsenal have a good contracts manager

Do we have one? What did Martinez, Koeman and Allardyce cost us? How much?

Caution: Ferguson recommended Moyes on a personal level, ie, he never worked with him - big difference

Of course he is a gamble. Every appointment is.

You just seem to be all dewy eyed about MA. Look at our recent history. Unsworth, who has had more managerial experience to MA showed he was not ready for a club like ours. If MA had not played for Everton I doubt 99% of those asking for him would be

Fuck me, now I really want Arteta to fail miserably at Arsenal. And I like the lad. FFS.

Arteta knows the club

Experience as Captain, ie, leadership qualities

Working references from Wenger and Guardiola

(Most!) fans would welcome a former playing favourite - a big help, especially time!

Because of someone's opinion on Arteta, you want Arteta to fail? Tells us enough about you! Call y'self an Evertonian?

Disagree. Think he was a good, forward thinking manager, ahead of his time in this country, and obviously his 'alternative beliefs' were what cost him. But as a manager, he was playing 3 at the back in a fluid system with England well before other managers.
So what did he win or achieve at that level? With his style of management?

Maradona? Gazza?

Who would hire a drug addict or an alcoholic?

Research and interview first

Yes, I did intimate that I was being ironic with those two suggestions.

Maybe you should read the whole post that other members make, instead of taking everything literally, gnashing your teeth, and rabidly lashing out those oddly cryptic/tabloid soundbite messages that you like to conjure

Different club than when he left though.

Ironic, that!

If Arteta was to manage Newcastle for the next two seasons and he gained successive 7th spot positions, would you then consider him?

To conclude: You are all in agreement that Silva will have a more successful managerial career than Arteta

Arsenal to get Arteta

Everton to get Silva

Tells us more about Silva than Arteta

Who will get the better deal, Arsenal or Everton? Work it out

Again, we cannot see the wood for the trees - unbelievable

Err? Everything right now points to Silva?

Linguistic fact.

Silva means wood in Portuguese.
