Holgate had a great game

1st goal - not a penalty, a tangle; 2nd goal - Niasse should have stayed near post and Pickford made error of judgement

Stood strong against Firmino and gave him a dose of medicine - that's competitive contact sport, loved it!

Thought the Liverpool player collapsed theatrically, never a pen, as Shearer said and the panel agreed. Now will there be retrospective action against the cheating Bastard, I doubt it very much.

The biggest load of shite I've ever read.

What an idiot. If he thinks analysing the stats of a centre back when filling in at right back is worthwhile then he should give up on following footy.

I think some of the points made are valid (switching off, silly errors etc.) but they can be easily explained by a young player making his way in the game.  Those who watch him can tell there's some real quality there.  I've been impressed with him from early days and nothing's changed my mind.

Kind of a muddled argument. Why even bother with the right back stuff, especially the crossing percentage and key pass numbers? I doubt anyone wants Holgate playing at RB unless we have no other choice.

Young players need games to improve and we've generally been doing fine defensively with him at CB. Let him make mistakes now, when they don't really matter.
