ON BBC2 live today at 3.20pm.

Anyone know how many (if any) of the squad are Everton layers?

ONly one I think

Lewis Gibson (Everton)

The physical left-back, who can also play centre-half, was poached from Newcastle by Everton in the summer for a reported 6 million and he is regarded as one of the most promising young defenders in the country.

3-2 up after being 2-0 down.

Some good players here. Brewster is getting the headlines, but Sessengnon at right back, the one that doesn't play that often for Fulham and Phil Foden as a right forward look particularly good.

5-2 up now.

Add Hudson-Odoi to that list.

Lots of Chelsea players in this team.

One thing I will always remember from martinez was him saying that England are up there with the best in the world at every age group up to national level.... Then it goes tits up

England won 5-2, doing well at these lower level age groups. Maybe hope for the future yet.

I remember our youth teams, up to u21 level, just bullying usually smaller and more technical opponents by playing teams full of giants.

This u17 team was technically good, had pace, strength and tactical awareness. I have to say I was impressed.

England were the best team all throughout the tournament and cruised through all the teams i.e. including Brazil in the semis and apparently without their best player Jordan Sancho who was called back by Dortmund mid-tournament.

Also the attendance for the finals and semis was about 70,000 in the stadium.
