Williams nearly unwittingly contributing to the death of Pickford there

I'm proud of our lads.  Excellent effort.  Exactly right re Besic being up for it and will give his all wherever you ask him to play.

Fucking hell, Pickford was lucky with that one. He'll have a stiff neck in the morning.

The defence is trying to self-destruct.

Honestly, I think that's just about the best first half we've had all season. Man City perhaps the only other of note.

Says a bit about our season mind you. Overall though there was a hint of a team shape and a plan I appreciated.

Given what we were expecting, that wasn't too bad. Their efforts of goal weren't clear chances apart from the header Pickford saved.

Maybe need a slight rethink at the other end. Lennon and Lookman have ended up getting pinned back, isolating Gylfi.

Annoys me that pundits never seem to take into account confidence etc.

Surely stretching anyone’s imagination to expect a team woefully out of form to be better than a comparable team (theoretically) that is in very good form on their own pitch?
