Not gonna lie, it does feel kind of nice that he fucked previous PL champions off and wasn't interested in that job, yet he'd love to come to us.

because he knows he can't match their recent highs

probably reckons he could drag us to at least 10th and get a wall named after him by Bill, though

What he was saying was a bit weird though, it was if he just wants to come in, save us from relegation, then fuck off (with a fat bonus). I'd be quite happy with that.

yeah but then once he's "saved us from relegation" then the fans scream blue murder if he's not kept on, because obviously doing that means that in the space of a summer he can make us World Cup winners so should be paid a billion pounds a week to do so.

then he turns to shit and we sack him.

Struggling to tell from the reaction in this thread if he would be a popular choice, might need a poll to confirm...

It's not a new manager that worries me it's the state the squad is in confidence wise, it's like they're in a state of PTSD at the moment, i'd take them all somewhere sunny on the lash next international break, try and wipe their brains of the trauma a la koeman.
I still despise Clive Thomas..

I'm worried about Fat head Sam because he's never been relegated. You know that Everton trend of:
A player never scored then does against us.
A team not won home/away but they beat us.
If something has never happened before, bet on us to break that trend.

Id guess he will become the most unpopular manager we've ever had

Ask Newcastle fans for a reference -

"We don't need a badge - everybody knows those blue and white shirts..............Everton"

They’d have him back now though

Don’t call us Sam, we’ll call you.

You can call me that, though

Quite like Allardyce, but Christ. He's never what I'd choose as our manager.

At both S’Land and Palace, Allardyce took quite a while to get them going.

In both instances he was saved by unlikely results. In thr first instance, they played us in Martinez’s last game, probably the easiest fixture ever.

At Palace they won at Anfield and Chelsea plus also beat Arsenal at Home.

They then went pretty rubbish again.

He wouldn’t last 6 games here if results humbled along in the short term.

In his own way I quite like Big Sam and you have to balance his achievements with the resources at his disposal. In that context I think he did well. However, he's not the future for us.
I'm also open to talks with Everton and they haven't contacted me either which suggests they are still thinking.

The Himalayas has the Yeti, Norway has Trolls, America has Hillbillies. You, good people, are blessed with Shropshire.
