Got to love these type of stories, the agent is a bad egg and because he is Iranian Moshiri is in with him is the story the paper will go with instead of being conned out of money. Which English paper is this Si?

it's not one that we will link to, put it that way

Article states the agent manipulated the clubs to gain more money for himself, canít see how this links Moshiri when the article basically says he fleeced the clubs?

Isnít that what all agents do ?

football clubs have to publish how much they pay agents

there was a bit of a stir about the amount Everton revealed in the first accounts that it was mandatory in, despite the fact that we've always been prepared to pay agents more than other people, which is how we signed Tim Cahill

Another thing to add to the academy tapping up thing, possible points deduction over Silva, and obviously that Panorama stuff about our involvement with Usmanov.

Either we are genuinely dodgy and/or pretty brazen at doing things that other clubs do subtley, or there is a bit of a withchunt going on.

I met a former director of LFC shortly after our clumsy approach for Silva and he said "you can see Moshiri isn't a football man as you simply don't do that mid season" or words to that effect

I wonder if he's broken etiquette on more stuff than gets out and people are starting to try and find things to get at us / him

The Panorama stuff seemed blown up considering what it was compared to, but is that another example of him being targeted and set up as an example?

Hmm, interesting.

I would say it looks like a bit of both

Yes but some like this one bend the rules further than allowed. I know they are all in it for the money but some are bordering on criminal! The stories I hear from friends are ridiculous, really bad people trying to con young players and also even trying with experienced proís who are amazed that the agents even think they will fall for their bullshit, but itís the young lads and their parents who fall for the bullshit. There should be a law on what agents can ask for, like a maximum percentage or fee! I get the gatting the best deal for the player but some agents make more than their players do. Itís now becoming normal for the agent to get a fee off the selling and buying club whilst also takeing a percentage of the players money! Getting 3 payments out of 1 deal.

Why would Usmanov buy into a club only to have a minority stake?

He did at Arsenal ,without the blink of an eye and much more money involved .So what was the question?

he actually bought in hoping to one day become a majority shareholder, and at the beginning was treated like a normal large shareholder - like being invited to board meetings and stuff

then Kroenke and he fell out as they both wanted to be the majority shareholder, but neither would sell to the other, and with Kroenke owning more shares than Usmanov, and having more influence with people within the club, Usmanov was frozen out but stuck with a huge shareholding in a company he now had zero influence over, and zero chance of having any influence over.

Sounds like a bit of a bellend.

Sod etiquette. It's not as though Liverpool operate with etiquette in mind.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

Evertonian in NC

Oh, sounds like a roundabout way to rob us of Onyekuru to me.

So if we assume that ďmanipulatedĒ gets lost in the translation and what was meant was the agent ďnegotiatedĒ to gain more money for himself then , yeah, thatís what agents do.

What he's done, I think, is really smart. He's got us cheap, but needs to keep his eye on our improvement. Bill Kenwrights doing ok, imo, as he's passing the baton as an Evertonian. I think Moshiri's a good owner type. I'm getting excited, as his respect and faith in us, seems to be more than money. Moshi's turning into a blue. ;D

and that the agent has been involved in all of Onyekuru's transfers

Isn't that the entire purpose of an agent?
Why would a player transfer go ahead without the agents involvement?
