Bit like the brighton game this. Like theyve suddenly realised we are shite and are coming at us now in waves

They break with six players. Only a matter of time really.

Just don't rate him
He's still a kid though, he'll improve.

He’s playing in one of the single most dysfunctional sides I’ve probably ever seen. He can be forgiven for trying to force those in front of him to push up and get them act together.

Or race out and do it all himself. Can't do right for doing wrong at the minute though, needs some leadership at the back to help him. If only we had some experience back there.

If only we had a playmaker like that English lad who looks good for them.

Niasse is just a bull in the china shop

Better than the rest who are pussies in a pet shop.

Does anyone else think Cleverly missed on purpose for old times sake? That was a shocking pen!

It was bad. Really focused on pulling it deliberately.

Lookman's directness made a huge difference then. Actually putting players on the back foot.

Pace, movement, directness. Without Rooney and Sigurdsson.

The momentum changed because we got a goal from poor defending from them.

We won because they missed a pen.

Aside from Niasse’s effort right at the end we had no other open play chances and that was with all the momentum going our way.

Fuckin hell have a night off hey.

Prefer to think of 3/4 full.

Never as good or bad as it seems ;)

3/4 full is pretty good.

I don't think now is the time to dissect the game and piss on any positives that we might get out of it. I said a few days ago we just need the rub of the green, anything, to give us a shot of optimism. Today might just be it.
Yes we didn't play well and we arguably didn't deserve 3 points but that's football. It's a win, out of the bottom three and those lads will sleep a lot better tonight.

I'd drop Rooney. Not because he isn't delivering but because with him in the side we lack any kind of structure and when he's on the pitch everything seems to have to go through him, or he wants it to, but he hasn't the legs anymore. A few instances yesterday he played the ball to Baines and then stood still, then realised he had to move so made a token movement but the return ball was never on as the moment was gone.
He's still got a penetrating ball on him but I personally don't think it's worth what he brings with him as well. Sig would have to improve if he was then the main man and he needs to be now.
