From this season, I have to say Schneiderlin/Williams/Martina have been shocking.
compare them to Martinez's players who got a lot of stick Funes Mori, McCarthy, Kone..

thoughts?

Martinez

did he make the better signings, or the more poorer signings? compared to Koeman?

You cant really compare based on costs as the 13/14 season is light years away from the 17/18 season. That Kone 6 million is probably 15-20 million in this close season

ive put the trasnfer fee's up, but they dont mean much, i meant on quality of the players brought in.

Like any a manager a mixed bag. Lukaku the best signing of the lot and we signed him twice. How much influence Martinez had on that is hard to say.

I very much doubt Martinez knew anything about a young defender on the fringes of the first team at Barnsley. So not fair to credit him with that one.

Martinez signings were shite by comparison.

Lots of decent players bought by Koeman, some the jury is out. But many have a proven track record and we won't see the quality until the team is more settled and playing better.

Say all you like about the potential we've bought recently and how it might pay off in the near future but the fact that we have nobody peaking right now shows you how crap our business has been.

And that's before you get into fit. Funes Mori and Niasse for a team that wants to play possession football? I don't even need to say anything about what we did this summer.

We are bad at transfers. It's the biggest reason why we're now also bad at football.

Mike Arteta, Tim Cahill, Yakubu, Lescott, Distin, Pienaar and Fellaini. ( I won't mention Coleman and Baines in that group ) How many of those players would just walk into this present team ?

What Koeman would have a given for a Fellaini.

A long-ball manager's wet dream.

Hard to compare really because it's the manager himself who is tasked to get the most out of players . Moyes signed nobodies and got the best out of them. Koeman bought brilliant players but got nothing out of them. So on that premise I think it's difficult to judge things like this
