It's a very important game this, especially where Unsworth is concerned. A good performance and a win could see a lot of foundations being laid for the future, or obviously not. If we lose or play badly today, I think we'll have a new manager by the end of the week.

I think the Silva thing is happening regardless, and I think there is no plan B beyond Unsy regardless (unless we plummet and we are forced to move around Christmas).

Maybe so. I just think there's a lot of support coming from the Kenwright corner. Today will put that idea on the back burner if we lose/play badly.

Didn't see the first half. There was plenty of fight in the second half. It was quite a desperate performance at times, but we're going in the right direction. If you don't put up a fight your subbed. It seems, from what I can hear that Schneiderlin had another bad game.

I still can't work out how we are the only team this season to stop City winning. And we nearly got all three points there as well.  :)

Not for me. 30% possession against the worst team in the league, conceding two goals every game and gone from 15th to 16th in the table today.

What I mean about going in the right direction is, we're fighting for possession. Teams were walking it in, not so long ago. :)

We were a little bit better back then. They did have a man sent off and then we defended deep with little ambition. They'd run up a cricket score if we played them now

Honestly can see us conceding 6 or 7 when we come up against a really good attacking side. The Derby is coming up isn't it

Don't mention the Derby. Haha! It's a nightmare just thinking about it.

That's 4 vital points in the last two games. If nothing else, Unsworth's got us something out of his temporary stint.

Oh I see. Maybe. The energy you see from Davies and Niasse (mainly) I think is misleading. It's pseudo-pressing which is not sustainable. Everyone has to do it and understand it. It's bloody difficult when

1. The team changes
2. The defence drops so deep
3. We can't keep possession when we do get the ball

I missed the first half and can only comment on the effort second half. Despite us not looking too organized, we still got something out of the game. But you're right, it's not good enough scraping a draw against the bottom club. :)

Put Keane in a defence that plays to his strengths and he'll be fine. There's a lot of centre-halves out there that are very proficient, in a badly malfunctioning side, (us) he's still getting picked for England. We bought a lot of good players but they need a system they can play in.
