Boss interview that.

Do those sort of players actually try harder than others or do you think it's just cos they're that shit they have nothing else so it looks as if they're working harder?

I think they genuinely work harder because they know that's all they've got.

Evertonian in NC

I don't know how some of our layabouts don't read something like that (actually, LMAO at the idea of any of them READING) or see a guy like Niasse busting his hump and don't feel immense shame.

I would have a player like him over a Drenthe every day. He was fucking mental out there but sheer will got him through games.

The City game though, he was like a man possessed with the skill of a far better player; but he had a bigger heart

Naismith had his limitations as a footballer, but he was a constant pain in the arse to the opposition and would get himself into some very good positions to score goals. With the right striker in front of him, he was a very useful player. He also had that little bit of controlled nastiness in him, which is always a bonus.

Off the field, he seemed to be a proper top bloke, with all of his work that he would do for homeless charities etc.

Never forget his perfect hattrick against Chelsea

I watched that in a beach shack in the Seychelles. Pretended that it was a coincidence to my wife, I had in fact messaged the bar a few weeks before to check if they had it on
