The lineup and formation is less important than players putting performances in right now. That's what is needed

If someone could get Gueye to sit more in front of the defence he and Davies could work well together. It seems to be beyond him though

Best half this season. Rooney running the show from deep and Sigurddsson playing well in the centre. Defensively we look strong Martina aside so far and Pickford really dominant

This is a really solid team performance, don't think there's been a bad performance out there today. Kenny, Pickford and Rooney excellent. Rooney thrives in the centre and allows Gueye to play his game.

Think Calvert Lewin was good tonight as well, won the penalty and put the defence under pressure for the Rooney wonder goal.

I know Unsworth isn't the man to take us forward but I do love the fella. Deserves the thanks he got from the fans today

It's always going to be with Rooney finding were he fits in a team,  in the centre from deep he was like Gareth Barry but with ridiculous ability to go with it tonight. We've missed someone that comfortable on the ball there all season and when Rooney has played in short spells there we have created chances

Think Martina did quite well at left back after a shaky start although Arnautovic had a shocker. Sigurddsson is starting to look good, helps that he played as a 10
