Get Rooney playing like that and we'll be fine, he's been superb tonight.

All the other results around us going our way too, including the 5-0 drubbing of Huddersfield which nudged us up an extra spot.

Nice.

Just sat here laughing my head off at the absurdity of today. Only Everton could appoint a manager hardly anyone wants and a assistant no one wants, then proceed to win 4-0 with Rooney's first hat trick for us and goal of the season.

Everton, ruining the transfer market since summer 2018

Be nice to keep a clean sheet as well, it would be the first since Sunderland in the League Cup.

Is this really the fat Sam factor or would we have done this anyway?

Why is he the only person sat down? Pockets that full of cash he can't get up?

You can't rule out the West Ham factor

Such a shame we weren’t putting on performances like this earlier. Would have loved it to have worked out for Unsworth.

Didn't Moyes' Everton beat Allardyce's West Ham 4-0 here in Moyes' last game for us? 😊

that was 2-0, Mirallas double I think
