Belgium passed the ball like a Martinez side, very slowly, with minimal movement, and an over-reliance on bits of individual skill.

Plus, Lukaku was thoroughly dominated.

The one time he drifted out wide they looked dangerous, but he lacks the necessary humility to do that, as he always wants to be in the centre.

Think he does like vs Brazil was happy to play that role.

When you’re the main striker (and no other proper forwards for large parts) he has to stay in the middle more.

No, when he drifts out wide it leaves space for Fellaini, Hazard, and De Bruyne to get in there, all of whom are excellent finishers in different ways.

If he ran the channels more and varied his game both him and his teams would reap the benefits.

He was so static and predictable tonight, and the French defence just swallowed him up.

If we're lucky enough to be leading going into injury time I want any player not already on a booking wasting every second they can.

Up to you.

I don’t want them to do that dribbling the ball away shit when it’s the oppositions free-kick, and goading them into lashing out.

Run it into the corner when in possession and all that, fine, though.

Do you rate Tom Davies?

Haha, yeah he’s got a snide side, for sure, but it’s not the part of his gane that I like.

His energy and drive are more impressive to me, although the snide side can be fleetingly appealing when things are getting really tribal, but I’m always disappointed with myself after 😁

I don’t understand our ‘footballing centre-back’ philosophy, here.

They all play it about like they’re Beckenbauer, then invariably end up dangerously passing it back to the ‘keeper to hastily lump upfield!

Now I know Pickford is better with the ball at his feet than most ‘keepers, but it’s still an odd, confused tactic!

Why has Harry Kane morphed into a poor midfielder over the last two matches?

I’m convinced that he’s carrying an injury.

Looks that way doesn't it? If so he should come off.

Southgate wouldn’t dare.

He’s still likely to bury a penalty if he gets the chance.

All over, probably.

Ah well, we were found out.

No midfield, and too many key players look like they’re carrying injuries (Kane, Alli)

Is it forbidden by commentators and pundits to criticise any England player that isn’t Jordan Pickford or Raheem Sterling?

I’ve heard people say the quality and entertainment was really poor, but it was other things around it that made it good.

Yeah, you are right, but then so is Brownie.

Mexico ‘86, however, was extremely exciting, with loads of ridiculous long range screamers at high altitude!

Maradona was incredible, Brazil were on fire, and there were great performances throughout from France, Russia, Denmark, Spain to name a few.

Loved the 90 world cup ...but my favorite has to be the Romario Bebbeto show in 94 ....oh and that Baggio penalty miss ....rekon his rat tail hairdo had him off balance  lolol.

An incredible duo, even though they didn’t get on.

Romario was like Maradona over one yard; accelerate, chest out, bang, goal.

Jorginho and Leonardo were excellent wing backs, and Dunga gave good midfield protection to a solid central defence.

Leonardo was great until he almost killed someone with his elbow.

Yes, it was a bad one.
