Apparently last night was a convaluted set up by FIFA to keep Ronaldo in the WC and give Spain an easier route to the semis so as to keep the competition afloat with Germany and Argentina struggling because VAR has killed it stone dead

Will be gutted for Tim Cahill, if he does not get to play today. Hopefully, he will get a chance to get the goal he needs.

Stuck with France v Denmark as the Sky Box in the office won't play ITV4 as it hasn't got a viewing card.

Really poor working conditions that, I'd be sending a complaint in to be honest

I'm never arsed if countries where football isn't even close to the main sport (Aus, US) don't do well. Fuck em.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.

Not having that BD.

I love seeing Australia and America do well in the World Cup.

They add a lot to the competition in my view.

Haha. I was fishing there a bit. Didn't think it would take long.

In fairness, I do actually think that.

On the whole, though they don't give a fuck about it. And that's fine. I'd sooner football-mad nations do better, in whichever part of the world that happens to be.

Football slowly but surely becoming bigger in Australia, more Aussie kids playing football than any other sport in the country, we have a big influence of Serbians and Croatians here as well as South American and British who have a big influence in promoting the sport.

😉

I think it's great how the whole country unites behind the team. Others could learn something from it.

Still though, if you polled Australians as to their favourite/most important sport, would football come in the top 2?
