Fucking ecstatic last night! But let's be honest, pretty shit performance, Sweden won't exactly be bricking it, one shot on target in 90mins and that was the penalty.... against a team far less disciplined and organised than the Swedes, 0-0 all over the QF!
And Gareth Southgate keeps surprising me more and more. What a great gesture.
I was one of the first to roll my eyes when Southgate got the job, it was the easiest appointment by the FA, they had got their yes man etc...but what a job he's done so far, its like the shackles have been taken off the players, they're loving it, seen a few interviews with them and they all say that Southgate is more of mate than manager, the whole camp is really relaxed, which is great for team morale, having the media stay in the same hotel has also helped. Former managers like Capello and Erikson wouldn't let the players move, they were proper regimented, that didn't work, Southgate is the complete opposite, gives them all the freedom to do what they want and its working.
Pickford again. Brilliant! Can see Madrid coming in with a$100M bid
You'd think Pickford was just the stand in the way they're going on about him. He's a very good keeper and has been for a couple of seasons now you pair of biffs.
Made easy work of this. Can't see how Russia or Croatia beat us.
Yep, its was basically a friendly game, Lineker said afterwards that none of the England players wanted to play, the Italy players where the same. I don't see the point of it at all
Yes amidst all the love in we must remember that a large proportion of travelling England fans are massive whoppers.
Leeds fans sing that "no surrender" song all the time.
