Can't see England beating Colombia

Colombia looked woeful today

James going off rattled them a fair bit, Senegal should have put them away but we're very wasteful

That wasn't anywhere near our first team, for a start, so that's a silly conclusion to draw and Columbia have been fairly poor in 2 of their 3 games.
Jeff: That's not the way to win.
Kathie: Is there a way to win?
Jeff: There's a way to lose more slowly.

@Confucius likes to twist the knife re all things England but underlying point is that whatever the circumstances Eng have struggled to put away Tunisia and lost to an equivalent Belgium team.

Agree cant say for certain either way.

I agree we can't draw any conclusions but I think it's important not to go negative after that game. It was a 50-50 game between two second string teams that means nothing. They had more of the ball, we created the better chances, they took a half chance.

We've generally been dangerous from set plays the first two games, so why the fuck did that useless tit Alexander-Arnold keep taking everything?!? He got about one in the air, the rest were worse than a school kid.

I also assume none of the pundits/media even bothered to mention to this?

Because Southgate felt the need to rest our two set piece takers from those games in Trippier and Young

I'm sure one of the other outfield players on the pitch tonight could actually kick a ball in the air, why did we persist with him, just wasted every opportunity to get it in the box
