Only in England would fans of the top clubs (or from clubs in the top league) not give a fuck about international football.

It's pretty pathetic really.

To be fair you only need to look on here to see a small snapshot of that. It wasn't so long ago most people on here were saying the couldn't give a hoot about England or international football in general. Suddenly throw in a good world cup and your home nation doing well and attitudes completely change again.

What's this about Harry Kane being injured?

Vardy isn't it?

Saw it was Kane on my newsfeed. Maybe it was just a joke.

Vardy is no great loss if he's injured.

Iím finding the whole thing boss.

Itís going to be a summer everyone will look back on years down the line and tell everyone about it.

The weather, England in the World Cup, just a general good feeling about the country for the first time in a long, long while.

Looking back, telling the grandkids about those magical days before Brexit.

What's good about this England run is the kids in the street, singing it's coming home, wearing England kits and enjoying the sun.

It's nice

Me. On the other hand

Couldn't care a fuck, would be nice for them to win it and I've enjoyed watching this tournament but...
It's the roll I way

Do you not agree though that it would be very satisfying to have a World Cup winning keeper at Everton ?
Yeah absolutely. Won't happen unless we buy Courtois or the Russian lad though!

Be ace if England win it like but let's not pretend it's anything more than mathematically possible.

And imagine Gareth Southgate being the bar English managers are judged by when appointing them. Imagine Jordan Henderson being the midfield enforcer type of player that generations of English teams copied and wondered why it didn't win them European competitions. Imagine Danny Rose being held up as an example of how to be a left back.

Imagine a second world cup running being won by a former loanee at Everton who we let go....

I've backed against them again anyway though so that's a decent omen
