Rashfords been horrible. Sterling has his faults but he's infinitely better

Gutted. Not sure it was really any better than it normally is. We got further cos we got a good draw. Great that pickford performed and a relief that he comes home blameless

Great effort from the lads. Should've killed it first half, but fair play Croatia grew into it after that. No shame in losing. Just not enough quality in the end.

That team did well to get that far. Credit to Southgate really. Pickford easily England's best player

Is it forbidden by commentators and pundits to criticise any England player that isnt Jordan Pickford or Raheem Sterling?

My youngest lad is in bits, sobbing his heart out, just like I've did in 86, 90 etc.

Frustrating game, and I kinda came detached from it as it felt like we were slowly mucking it up. We were great first half but that Kane moment was the difference, he could've rolled it to Sterling for the tap in or even that second rebound chance. The second half it seemed like we sat back and our options on the bench didn't help in changing things up.

It's a little strange, I thought I'd be really down but no matter what hope we get I've been burnt too many times by the national team to not think at some point they're going to mess up...so it just feels expected in a weird way.

I don't think we'd have beaten France though. I doubt Croatia will have much better luck either.
